RangeFinder does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal data. Ever. It runs entirely on your device — the camera and sensors it uses never send anything off your phone.
We collect no information whatsoever. RangeFinder is a fully offline application. No data of any kind is collected, recorded, or transmitted from your device.
RangeFinder uses your device's camera to display a live preview and measure the apparent size of objects you select on screen. Camera frames are processed entirely on-device in real time and are never saved, stored, recorded, or transmitted anywhere. No images or video are written to disk by the app.
RangeFinder uses your device's gyroscope to measure tilt angle for distance correction. Sensor readings are processed on-device only and are not stored or transmitted.
The app stores only your personal preferences and any custom reference objects you create locally on your device using Android SharedPreferences. This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.
RangeFinder does not require an internet connection and makes no network requests. All distance calculations are performed entirely on-device.
The app does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking services. There are no SDKs present that transmit data to external servers.
This application is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including minors, because the app collects no information at all.
If this privacy policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Given that this app collects no data, material changes to this policy are unlikely.
